Thanks. We are really looking forward to establishing an internship program with the hopes of rotating students through every semester (post Summer intern) to work for our Customer Support team. This could be a great opportunity for an MIS, or CS major that is interested in working for a hight tech company and building his/her DB skills. The following core knowledge is required: Knowledge of SQL database administration and data structures (ability to write complex SQL queries) Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports or similar report writing tool Knowledge of / Experience with enterprise computer systems and applications Experience with or knowledge of report generation tools Experience with or knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat And it would be helpful if the students had the following skills but if they don't this will be a chance for them to learn: Linux experience / proficiency is a plus XML experience / proficiency is a plus The work these students do will aide our service ops team: The Service Operations Intern will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of applications, systems reports, and processes for the Egenera Service Operations team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Generate ad hoc reports from the call tracking database for the services team · Update the standard daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly reports as needed · Provide ongoing support for the reporting infrastructure · Post software, hardware and documentation updates to the Egenera partner and customer web portal. · Update and maintain the service monitoring production and staging systems. This involves making administrative changes to the configuration and customer databases (add, change, delete) · Test and maintain support procedures, updating existing procedures and creating new procedures as needed. · Support / perform tasks related to the customer support lab, including testing and equipment and application installation and maintenance We look forward to seeing resumes.
